Human Performance Complex - Goal: $6 million
The Human Performance Complex (HPC) will serve a wide range of persons: UNI students in health, physical education and leisure services, UNI student-athletes, persons in the Cedar Valley and all around the globe. The complex will house the Center for Healthy Youth, Center for Athletic Training Education, and a Sports Medicine Center. The HPC will enable students and faculty from UNI's School of Health, Physical Education and Leisure Services (HPELS) to collaborate with area medical professionals on a daily basis. Located within the University's west campus complex of educational, wellness and sports facilities, the HPC will house several of the School's academic, research and public service programs, including the National Program for Playground Safety, Camp Adventure˜ Youth Services, Global Health Corps, the Institute for Youth Fitness and Obesity, and Youth Agency Administration. The new facility will also have a Sports Medicine Center,
including office and R.J. McElroy Challenge Grant - We need your help! In March 2004, the R.J. McElroy Trust pledged $500,000 for
the Human Performance Complex as a challenge grant. Through this challenge,
the UNI Foundation is charged with raising $1 million in order to receive
$500,000 from the Trust. This is an outstanding opportunity for UNI to
complete fundraising for this important project. Please call the UNI Foundation,
or give
online!
