I am a freshman Biochemistry major from LeMars, Iowa. It wasn't hard for me to decide to come to UNI after walking through the campus and meeting some people during a college visit. The smaller classes give you that private school feeling, but there's still a TON of new people to meet and lots to do like at a larger University!

One of the best things to do is get involved with your floor. I've made the best friends through house government and other house programs, meeting neighbors, and being involved in as much as possible. Besides the Phone-a-thon, some of the things I'm involved in are the UNI Mat-Aides and the Honors Program. Otherwise I love just hanging out with my friends and playing tennis.

I'm a junior, Early Childhood/Elementary Education double major from the small town of Laurens, Iowa. I came to UNI to uphold the family tradition of attending college here! I also came because it is the best teacher's college in the nation!! The campus is great and the faculty are outstanding.

During my years here at UNI, I have made many lasting friendships and memories. The greatest ones have been made in the "Crazy Jackie House Hallway" of Hagemann Hall and at the awesome UNI phone bank. I have also been involved in numerous other activities while here at UNI. I have been involved in Residence Hall Government by being the Vice President of my house for one year; I was part of a team that raised money for "Up 'til Dawn" fundraiser for the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, I have been a Student Development Representative for 1 1/2 years, and to top it all off, I attend classes five days a week, stay caught up on homework, and find time to hang out with my friends and relax!!
